School-Wide Community Service Project for St. Jude
A key component of the Beta Blub is community service. Every semester we participate in a community service project. This semester the students elected to help the patients at St. Jude by spearheading a project to collect much needed items for the patients there. This community service project will begin Nov. 4th and end Nov. 21st. I have attached the St. Jude guidelines and list of all the approved items. Students can turn in items to the counselors at breakfast of lunch. There are a lot of inexpensive items on the list and we are asking for all faculty, students, & community members to participate. You can take the list to your church and/or community organizations, so they can possibly help too. You could also make this a classroom project.
LCMS Favorite Teacher Contest
Community Service Fundraiser
We are excited to announce our Annual LCMS Favorite Teacher Contest. Our goal is to raise money to fund community service projects and add a little humor while doing it. We are raising the money by giving each teacher a picture of a bald turkey. Students can purchase feathers for teachers during breakfast for a .25 cents. We are selling tickets until November 22nd. The teacher who has the most feathers will win a real turkey for Thanksgiving and the title of LCMS Favorite Teacher. Let's see who will win the title this year!
